Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel: Luke 13:31-35 Some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Leave this place and go somewhere else, for Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.’ But I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for no prophet can die outside of Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you! How often I longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling! Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ ” == Thursday, October 31, 2024 - A moment with GOD through HIS WORD. Reflection: How can you allow yourself to feel the warmth of Jesus' protection in your life, and what small steps can you take to seek His guidance daily? Prayer: My compassionate Lord, You yearn to protect me from the many evils in this world. You yearn to heal me of the wounds my sins have caused. And You yearn to bestow upon me the gift of eternal life. I accept Your protection, dear Lord, and pray for the healing I need. Please cover me always and bestow upon me the gift of eternal life. Jesus, I trust in You.
