Man leads deputies, officers on 45-minute chase

SAN ANTONIO - A driver is now in jail after leading local law enforcement on an overnight chase that lasted 45 minutes.Bexar County deputies tried to pull the driver over at Loop 1604 and Highway 151 around 2 a.m. Thursday, but the man took off.He led them into downtown so San Antonio police assisted the deputies.Investigators say they could see the driver laughing as he drove and threw stuff out of his window.After wrecking his car, the suspect tried to run away but he was chased down by a police dog, authorities said.We were told at the scene the man had seven prior felony warrants.He now faces several charges, including evading arrest and drug charges.
