HOLY FAMILY, DWELLING OF GOD | Hymn for the Feast of the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph)
HOLY FAMILY, DWELLING OF GOD | Hymn for the Feast of the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) As we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family—Jesus, Mary, and Joseph—we are reminded that God chose to dwell among us not in power or prestige, but within the warmth and simplicity of a family home. In their love, obedience, and unity, the Holy Family becomes the perfect model for all families throughout the world. Their life in Bethlehem, Nazareth, and in the journey that followed reveals that holiness is found in everyday faithfulness, in courage during trials, and in placing God at the center of family life. Our Hymn for the Feast of the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) echoes this truth by drawing from the very antiphons of the Roman Missal. It leads us to the manger where the shepherds found the Infant with Mary and Joseph, and invites us to see in them a home where God “appeared on the earth and lived among us.” The hymn helps us pray that our families, too, may reflect their trust, compassion, and steadfast love. As we honor the Holy Family, may we seek to imitate their virtues in our own homes—becoming places of peace, forgiveness, joy, and faith. May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph guide all families, strengthen those facing challenges, and inspire us to live as true witnesses of God’s love in the world. #holyfamily #feast #feastday
