Lucie Low is the scientific program manager of the trans-NIH Tissue Chip for Drug Screening program. We talked about tissue chips, microsystems that represent units of human organs — such as the lung, liver and heart — modelling both structure and function. We talked about using tissue chips to create personalized therapy, study the effects of radiation on tissues, and model diseases.
