Rakshabandhan Special Gulkand Vermicelli Kheer. Serve this kheer chilled to enjoy on a hot day and beat the heat. It is an ideal recipe to make for festivals as well. Ingredients: 1 tbsp ghee 1/2 cup vermicelli 500 ml full cream milk 2 tbsp sugar (adjust sugar as per your taste) 2 tsp rose syrup 1 tsp cardamom powder 2 tsp gulkand by Arka A drop of pink food colour (optional) Finely chopped almonds for garnish Method: Roast the vermicelli in ghee till it becomes golden brown. Add milk and bring to a boil. Add sugar, rose syrup, cardamom powder and mix well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes Next add gulkand and a drop of pink food colour. Simmer the kheer till the vermicelli becomes soft and milk reduces a bit. Keep the consistency of kheer as per your choice. The kheer is ready. Garnish with almonds.
