HOMEMADE DOG TREATS | PUMPKIN SPICE DOG TREATS // LoveLexyNicole Hey friends! In today's video I am going to be sharing with you all how to make pumpkin spice dog treats with a yummy peanut butter frosting. My dogs and I went to a local dog bakery and spent $20 on a small bag of these treats. I was determined to recreate them at home. Not only do they look identical to the ones at the dog bakery but my dogs seems to love them more AND they are cheaper to make at home! Hope your fur friends enjoy this recipe. Love, Lexy Nicole ITEMS FROM VIDEO: cooker cutters: https://amzn.to/3LTpyeW silicone molds: https://amzn.to/3xWytXe PUMPKIN SPICE DOG TREATS Ingredients 3/4 cup pumpkin puree 1/2 cup natural peanut butter plus more for drizzling 1/4 cup skim milk or bone broth 1 large egg 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 cup rolled or quick-cooking oats 1/2 teaspoon of ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon Instructions -Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside. -In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, peanut butter, broth/milk, egg, ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon. Mix well. Stir in oats and baking powder. -Add 2 cups of flour and mix until combined. -Continue to add flour 1/4 cup at a time until dough is no longer sticky. -Turn dough on to a table and use a rolling pin to roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to create shaped cookies or silicone cookie molds. Re-roll scraps until all of the dough has been used. -Place cookies on prepared baking sheets. Bake for 20-30 minutes depending on if you want cookies soft or crunchy. I wanted soft cookies so I did 20 minutes. -Remove from oven and drizzle with some warmed peanut butter if desired. Cool the cookies completely before treating your dog! HOW TO STORE TREATS: Store treats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
