Blender & Daz: Design Your Dream Anime Characters
In this Blender Anime Character Design Daz Studio tutorial, we will look at how to import an Anime Style Character from Daz to Blender. We'll then apply a new Toon Shader. Daz Studio just announced new anime-styled base meshes for Genesis 9. They come in Masculine and Feminine forms and utilize a new Fila Toon Shader. These are available as of Daz Studio 4.23. Using the Daz to Blender Bridge results in the Anime character having incorrect materials and poor rigging. We will use the Diffeomorphic Daz Importer. The rigging is a bit better but the shaders are still not right as of this video recording. We will use the Comfee Mug Anime/cel-shaded Toon Shader in our Anime Character design. See more about that in our previous video: • Anime Cel-Shading Shader Tutorial for... Then, we will look at fixing the rigging of the eyes of this anime character. 00:00 - Intro 00:50 - Base Genesis 9 Toon Character 01:58 - Character in Blender 02:08 - Fila Shaders fail in Blender 02:45 - Importing Comfee Toon Shader From Asset Library 03:18 - Blender EEVEE settings 04: 12 - Applying Comfee Toon Shader to Character materials 09:00 - Fixing Eye Sockets 12:02 - Making Iris bone follow Eye bone Check out our playlists for moving characters from Daz to Blender.
