SACBC January 2025 Plenary Session - Synod on Synodality Presentation

Thursday, January 23 was dedicated to the Synod on Synodality implementation phase in the SACBC region (South Africa, Botswana, and Eswatini). The day began with presentations by the SACBC Synod task team: Archbishop Dabula Mpako, Archbishop Zolile Mpambani SCI, Bishop Jan de Groef M.Afr, Bishop Thulani Mbuyisa CMM, and Sheila Pires. Following presentations, participants (Bishops, department coordinators, and the laity) held group discussions based on key points identified by the SACBC Synod task team. In the afternoon session, rapporteurs presented their group reports, followed by further discussions. The SACBC leadership is expected to come up with a concrete plan for the implementation phase at all Church levels.
