Queen | The Wedding March (Flash Gordon film soundtrack)
Humorously interwoven near the end is a brief flirtation with Chopin’s Marche funèbre (French: funeral march) from his Piano Sonata no. 2. Outside of the film’s plot context, such an inclusion during a wedding procession perhaps reveals an interesting perspective on marriage! In this video, I’ve tried recreating Brian May’s multi-tracked guitar orchestration applied to Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin (more commonly known as “Here Comes The Bride”), without percussion. This originally appeared in the wedding scene from the 1980 sci-fi movie Flash Gordon, for which Queen provided the soundtrack.
