Will There Be A Second Stimulus Check?

Everything we currently know about what has been proposed, what actually passed, and what we can expect in terms of ANOTHER stimulus check coming. 🙏 Help us get to 20k subs! https://bit.ly/2XfWRBm Some Quick Reminders… So far we’ve had the $2.2 TRILLION CARES Act also known as the act that funded the $1,200 stimulus checks everyone has been talking about This also included $350 BILLION worth of relief for small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. This $350 billion fund ran out very shortly after disbursement started and several businesses didn’t even get the chance to apply! Another $484 BILLION was allocated to replenish the small business relief and other expenses related to the medical industry and testing. Different Proposed Bills… 1. Emergency Money For The People ACT - Also known as the infamous $2k a month stimulus payment… About 225 million Americans would qualify because the requirements are significantly less strict than the original $1200 stimulus check. Here’s who would qualify: Individuals making less than $130K / year Married couples must make less than $260K / yr and EACH would receive $2,000/mo Anyone 16 years or older Dependents (even college students and other adults) qualify too Even people who receive unemployment, disability, or other government assistance These payments are tax free! They are not “income” so you would not need to report them as “income” on your taxes 2. Patriot Pay - This would give up to $12 an hour on top of normal wages for employees in eligible jobs of industries that Congress and the Department of Labor qualified as “ESSENTIAL” i.e. hospitals, grocery stores and health manufacturing. This would be a temporary pay bump and extend through May, June and July, paid out via a payroll tax credit. 3. Free Rent and Mortgage Cancellation Act - Think free rent (and no mortgage payments) FOR A WHOLE YEAR. This would apply to everyone and be completely fee and penalty free… AKA it will not effect your credit score and it doesn’t need to be paid back. There’s also a section that helps out landlords. Some states around the US are even starting to test out soft openings as a way to stimulate the economy. Whether the economy opens back up or another stimulus payment happens, Congress seems to agree that $1200 isn’t enough for most Americans to survive and SOMETHING has got to give.
