To Unlock the Promises in God’s Word we must 1.Understand the Nature of God’s Promises · Verse 4 “Very Great and Precious Promises” (2 Peter 1:4) 2.Know the Source of the Promises · “Through these”: God’s glory and goodness are the foundation of His promises. (2 Peter 1:4) 3.Activate the Promise Through Faith · God’s promises require faith to be activated (Hebrew 11:6) 4. Participate in the Divine Nature · “So that through them you may participate in the divine nature”. (2 Peter 1:4) 5.Escape the Corruption of the World · “Having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires” (2 Peter 1:4)
