Sermon Series: “The Sounds of His LOVE” Sermon Message: “The Sound of Water” By Pastor Tino Espinoza Scripture: Matthew 27:15-26 Sermon Description: The sound of water is very pleasant; it calms us and bring back memories of places we visited. Think about your children playing on the pool or at the ocean. In the las week of our Lord’s earthly life, we heard the sound of water twice…the first time it was twelve times. It happened at the Upper Room that Thursday night and it was Jesus using it. The second time it was fast and has the meaning of closeness. It happened Friday morning after Jesus had been condemned to crucifixion. Pilate, trying to save Jesus offered the people a choice: Barabbas or Jesus. The crowd cried out, “Barabbas, give us Barabbas! Then, Pilate asked for a basin of water and symbolically washed his hands. But this washing does not work. We need to be cleansed not with water like that Friday morning, but in the blood of Jesus shared that Friday afternoon Listen…the sound of water…let it cleanse from all sin.
