There are 5 small islands in the middle of the reservoir and a small pavilion called Wanjaejeong. It is a popular spot for scholars and literary scholars to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of each season by planting rare trees such as Epop trees. Especially, the beautiful scenery is at its peak when the Ipop tree blossoms every year. 신라시대 때 농업용수 공급을 위해 축조된 저수지로 백성들을 위한다는 의미에서 위양지라고도 한다. 저수지 가운데에 5개의 작은 섬과 완재정 이라는 작은 정자가 있다. 이팝나무 등 진귀한 나무들을 심어 사시사철 아름다운 운치를 즐길 수 있는 곳으로 선비와 문인학자들이 즐겨 찾았던 명소이다. 특히 매년 이팝나무 꽃이 만발하는 시기가 되면 그 아름다운 절경이 절정을 이룬다. - 밀양문화관광 -
