Ukulele Advent Calendar 2024 - Dec. 24: “O Little Town of Bethlehem”
For Christmas Eve I am sharing a new ukulele arrangement fingerpicking to an old Christmas hymn I’ve never before recorded. Based on an 1868 text written by Phillips Brooks, the carol is sung with one melody in the United States and Canada ("St. Louis" by Brooks' collaborator, Lewis Redner). In the United Kingdom and Ireland it is sung to "Forest Green", a tune collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams and first published in the 1906 English Hymnal (source: Wikipedia).
