2007-2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Turn signal Doesnt work Fix

this issue may be the same on any 2007-2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Truck where the turn signal doesn't work. you have checked the simple stuff like the bulbs, fuses etc. It took me a bit to figure out so hopefully this helps someone else.
