Heart of Acadiana: Heart surgery patients reunite with lifesaving cardiac team

Two heart surgery patients reunited with their lifesaving cardiac team at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital in Lafayette. The heartfelt reunion underscored the deep bonds formed between patients and their doctors. Paul Herman Toups, 84, and Judge Gary Legros, 70, both underwent trans-catheter aortic valve replacement surgeries in 2025. The procedure was necessary due to serious heart conditions.
