You Don't Need Expensive Gear to Thru-Hike | My CDT Gear List 2026

I'm about to hike 3,000 miles across the Continental Divide Trail without buying a single new piece of gear. The same tent, sleeping bag and pad that already carried me through the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, worn out but still going, and even my "new" backpack was a free Osprey warranty replacement.
