In this sermon, Mark reflects on the Book of Ruth, chapter 1. Mark invites listeners to trust that God is active even in times of great desolation. We can see God begin to bring about restoration in the great declaration of loyalty by Ruth (a woman, a widow, and a despised foreigner) to her mother-in-law Naomi who has also lost everything.
