Korea has discovered a new claim to be the oldest book printed with metal movable type. The Jikji has had that claim, 1377. But now Korea has discovered a metal movable type text that has been hiding as a woodblock printed version that dates from 1239. We know from other sources that Korea was using metal movable type in 1234, but now we have discovered a text from 1239 -- the Jeungdo-ga -- the "Hymn to Enlightenment".
