Oregon State University names Jayathi Y. Murthy as new president

Oregon State University (OSU) has chosen Jayathi Y. Murthy as its next president. The university's board of trustees unanimously approved her appointment Tuesday morning, according to a press release. Murthy will be the first woman of color to serve as president of OSU.
