My previous extender provided spotty wi-fi coverage with significant lag. It was a bit older, so on a whim I decided to update it without high expectations for a strong signal from a router on the first floor to devices on the third floor. I could not be happier that I did! This device far exceeded my expectations. I installed it on the second floor, halfway between the router and the third floor, as the instructions indicated.
