The answer is yes, but there are certain things you need to do, which I will tell you in this video. It may be a little harder to build muscle after 45 compared to when you were younger, but it isn’t impossible. Just make some small changes in your daily routine, and adjust your workouts to optimize muscle growth and time under tension to help get started. Now for the tips as I answer the question, is it really possible to build muscle after 45 years old? YOU MUST REVERSE SARCOPENIA. This is muscle loss as a result of you using your muscles less as you age. Also make sure to do your best to avoid injury in your workouts because that will set you back even more on your muscle building journey. Tip #1: TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR NUTRITION. Eliminate processed foods, sugars, soda, and fried foods. You need to start eating foods that are more nutrient dense, that provide fuel for your workouts and help your body recover. You also want to make sure to consume at least 25-30 grams of protein with each of your meals. To build muscle, it is important that you are eating enough protein. Make sure you are eating complex carbs and essential fats as well because that will help increase your testosterone, which will help you build more muscle. Tip #2: ADD 3-4 DAYS OF RESISTANCE TRAINING EACH WEEK. You need to focus on doing compound exercises to optimize your hormone levels to build muscle.
