The game uses elements from previous Ratchet & Clank games such as machine guns, gunfights, bolt collecting, automatic weapon and health upgrades, manual upgrading of Raritanium weapons and gadgets. The main playable character is Ratchet. He is accompanied by his robotic friend and companion Clank, who hangs on his back.
