Johnson's Tories smashed the so-called 'Red Wall', stealing votes from the Labour Party of Jeremy Corbyn as Labour voters either stayed at home or switched alliegiance. Now Boris Johnson faces a potential vote of no confidence - and polling shows voter support for the Conservatives has collapsed. The Conservatives' response to the cost of living crisis and Rishi Sunak's disastrous Spring Statement have played their part, but Boris Johnson's troubles are in no small way of his own making - with partygate and his response to the Sue Gray report into lockdown rulebreaking at the heart of Number 10 exposing "failures of personality" in the Prime Minister.
