9:00 am Mass September 25, 2022 – Twenty-sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
In the first reading, the Prophet Amos speaking for the Lord says that those who live for themselves without caring for others will find no favour before God. In the second reading, Saint Paul encourages Timothy in his commitment and fidelity to the Gospel truth. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Today, as we mark the 108th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, these scripture reading help us to reflect on our calling as Christians to assist strangers, migrants, and refugees and to do what we can to challenge policies and systems that maintain wrongs against them today.
