Enrique Garcia, age 77, passed away on September 29, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1947, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico to Enrique Garcia and Natalia Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, San Juana Garcia; children Dora Nelly Chavez and husband Cesar, Enrique Garcia, Heriberto Garcia and wife Debra, Araceli Jennings and husband Cain, Gabriel Garcia and wife Ana, and Ariel Garcia; sisters Margarita Garcia and Maria Garcia. He was a proud grandfather to Sandra Valdivia, Cesar Chavez Jr., Brianna Chavez, Natalie Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Isaac Gonzales, Abigail Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, Denise Garcia, Daniella Garcia, Melissa Garcia, Jasmine Saunders, Vincent Garcia, and Delaney Bassham; and a great-grandfather to Mia Chavez, Maxel Chavez, John Carlos Valdivia Jr., Xavier Vargas, Daniel Saunders, and Elaina Saunders. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jose Garcia and Marco Antonio Garcia, and his grandson Jesus Gonzales. Above all, Enrique loved to sing. He enjoyed performing for anyone and everyone, and also composed music and songs. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, giving freely to others without hesitation. Family and friends will remember him as an entertainer, a joker, and an advisor through life’s troubles. He enjoyed time with family, gatherings with friends, and staying active through youth boxing, gymnastics, swimming, and diving. His family fondly says that if he could, Enrique would have taken the microphone at his own funeral just to deliver his own eulogy. A Rosary will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 6:00pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, with visitation following until 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Marín officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cesar Chavez Jr., Dominic Garcia, Isaac Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, and Vincent Garcia. Fue un orgulloso abuelo de Sandra Valdivia, César Chávez Jr., Brianna Chávez, Natalie García, Sophia García, Dominic García, Isaac Gonzales, Abigail Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales, Denise García, Daniella García, Melissa García, Jasmine Saunders, Vincent García y Delaney Bassham; y bisabuelo de Mia Chávez, Maxel Chávez, John Carlos Valdivia Jr., Xavier Vargas, Daniel Saunders y Elaina Saunders. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, sus hermanos José García y Marco Antonio García, y su nieto Jesús Gonzales. Sobre todo, a Enrique le encantaba cantar. Le gustaba actuar para todos, y también componía música y canciones. Siempre estaba dispuesto a echar una mano, dando libremente a los demás sin dudarlo. La familia y los amigos lo recordarán como un artista, un bromista y un consejero a través de los problemas de la vida. Disfrutaba del tiempo con la familia, las reuniones con amigos y mantenerse activo a través del boxeo juvenil, la gimnasia, la natación y el buceo. Su familia dice con cariño que si hubiera podido, Enrique habría tomado el micrófono en su propio funeral solo para pronunciar su propio panegírico. Se llevará a cabo un Rosario el lunes 6 de octubre de 2025 a las 6:00 p. m. en la funeraria Griffin-Roughton, con visitas hasta las 8:00 p. m. El martes 7 de octubre de 2025, a las 10:00 a.m., se llevará a cabo una Misa de Entierro Cristiano en la Iglesia Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción con el Padre Juan Carlos Marín oficiando. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Católico Calvary. Los portadores del féretro serán César Chávez Jr., Dominic García, Isaac Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Andrew Gonzales y Vincent García.
