Sunday, October 5 (World Communion Sunday) Be Strong and Courageous 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-14 for God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7 What happens when our world collapses, bad things happen to those we care about, or worse we find out something disturbing about those we have trusted? It can certainly happen…even our heroes are human and subject to human failings and struggles. This letter, addressed to Timothy, invites him, and us, in those moments to keep the faith; the faith we have been entrusted by others to pass on to still others, the faith we learn, and live, and teach. Let’s be inspired by those who keep faith when faith is hard.
