Phone hacking: London's police chief resigns

The head of London's Metropolitan Police Paul Stephenson resigned on Sunday evening. Britain's senior police chief stood down over allegations about the service's handling of phone hacking investigations. At a news conference, Stephenson was quick to deny claims that he had known about the phone hacking at the now defunct News of the World.
