
FFPM Chavez's Last Structure LAFD Greater Alarm Fire Station 33 | SOUTH LA, CA 4.17.21
FOLLOW 310FIRE: / @310fire SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the intersection of 74th St and Main St. Task Force was first on scene reporting a commercial with smoke showing. Light Force 33 went to the roof while Engine 33 began forcible entry prior to fire attack. Task Force 64 arrived on scene, Light Force 64 assisted with ladders and forcible entry. Engine 64 backed up Engine 33. Additional resources were requested (2 additional task forces) scaling the incident to a greater alarm. Battalion 13 was known as "Main St IC." Knockdown was called in 24 minutes. This was FFPM Dave Chavez's last structure fire to end a 38 year career with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
