QF-4 Phantom Target Drones at Tyndall from 2015
For nearly 20 years the U.S. Air Force operated QF-4 Phantom supersonic jet fighters as target drones over Gulf of Mexico ranges near Tyndall AFB, Florida. The last of the Tyndall QF-4s departed for Holloman AFB, New Mexico, on 24 July 2015. It has since retired form service. These scenes depict spectacular QF-4 shoot-downs, drone operations, and the final send-off of a Tyndall QF-4 by the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron. Lt. Col. Todd Houchins, 53rd Test Support Squadron commander, flew the QF-4 cross-country to Holloman on 24 July 2015. Have you subscribed to the Airailimages Channel on YouTube?
