Terror attack hits Istanbul Turkey had been in a state of mourning after a car bombing in the capital Ankara on March the thirteenth. The funerals for those victims had just ended when another attack hit the country on Saturday. The suicide bombing in Istanbul killed five people, including the bomber, and wounded 39 others. A day later, the interior ministry identified the attacker as Mehmet Ozturk, a Turkish national with ties to the Daesh terror group. World leaders condemned the attack, and the president of Turkey said the country had every intention of continuing the fight.. EU-Turkey refugee deal comes into effect Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and EU leaders reached an agreement on the refugee crisis on Friday. Under the deal, Ankara has agreed to take back refugees who crossed into Europe from Turkish soil. For each Syrian returned, one already settled in Turkey is to be accepted into the EU. In exchange, the EU promised to provide Turkey with more financial aid, visa-free travel for its citizens, and to restart negotiations on EU membership. Ankara bomber identified The interior ministry identified the suicide bomber in the latest Ankara terror attack as Seher Cagla Demir. She was a Turkish citizen born in 1992. The government says she belonged to the PKK terrorist organisation. Police have detained at least 12 suspects in relation to the car bomb attack, which took place on March 13th. Two days later, the TAK, which is affiliated with the PKK, claimed responsibility. Gallipoli victory marked Turkey has commemorated the one hundred and first anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli. The Ottoman Empire defeated the Allies in 1915 in the Dardanelles Strait in Canakkale Province, but more than 250 thousand of its soldiers were either killed or wounded.
