Russia's war leaving deep scars on Ukraine's natural landscape

The one and a half years of war in Ukraine has left deep scars on the country's natural landscape. It has ruined vast swathes of farmland, polluted rivers and burned down forests. Experts said this could cause long-lasting damage to agricultural productivity, and Ukraine is a major cereal and oilseed producer and exporter. Forests and national parks spanning nearly 2 and a half million hectares have been damaged.
