Welcome to Bonita's Kitchen! Today we will be making Goulash, made with elbow noodles, ground beef and so much more. Ingredients: 2 Cups lean ground beef 1 1/2 cups macaroni ( elbow noodles ) 1 medium chopped onion 1 medium chopped can tomato 1 clove chopped fresh garlic 1 cup pasta sauce or tomato soup ( add more sauce to your taste if you like ) Pinch sea salt and pepper 1/4 cup Ketchup 1 cup or can Mushrooms Dashes of Olive oil Method: Goulash is a hearty meal, this is a serving for four. When making goulash you could bake in the oven topped with shredded cheese or the way we make it in Newfoundland on the stove top. Prep time 15 minutes, cooking time 20 minutes, 1 - Start with frying your ground beef until golden brown, topped with onion, salt and pepper, mushrooms. 2 - Continue sautéing your beef until your onions have softened, and starting to brown, then this is a good time to add your chopped garlic only cook garlic for a minute or so never let burn. 3 - In a small saucepan half full with water start boiling on medium heat with a pinch of salt and olive oil. 4 - Then add your macaroni, boil until your noodles are part cooked this will take 10 to 15 minutes. 5 - When cooked drain water and add a dash of olive oil, place back on your stove top with the heat turned off. 6 - Back to ground beef start adding, chopped can tomatoes, tomato soup or sauce then ketchup mix all together. 7 - Then add meat sauce to noodles at this point you will taste it to see if you need more salt or pepper, mix together you can also add any spice of your choice for your taste. Serve with fresh homemade bread or buns. I apologize in advance if anything in this video is not clear or miss read, please follow my recipe when making this dish.
