Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD: the LORD is God and has given us light. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel: Matthew 10:17-22 Jesus said to his disciples: "Beware of men, for they will hand you over to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You shall be led before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what to speak, for what to speak will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who will be speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who will speak in you. Brother will hand over brother to death, and father will hand over son. Children will rise up against parents and bring about their deaths. You will be hated by all for the sake of my name, but whoever perseveres to the end will be saved. == Thursday, December 26, 2024 - A moment with GOD through HIS WORD. Reflection: In moments of challenge or suffering, how open are you to trusting that God is with you, guiding your words and actions? Prayer: Most glorious Saint Stephen, please pray for me. Pray for me especially when I experience the heaviest crosses in my life. Pray that I, like you, will be open to God’s inspiration and grace at those times I need it the most. St. Stephen, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.
