Nine Lessons and Carols - St Boniface Church, Bonchurch - 12th December, 2021

An audio recording of the annual service of Nine Lessons and Carols from the Parish Church of St Boniface, Bonchurch, Isle of Wight. Carols sung by the choir include "The Truth from Above", "Adam Lay Ybounden", "Jesus Christ the Apple Tree", "Bethlehem Down" and Harold Darke's setting of "In the Bleak Midwinter". Rev Canon Hugh Wright, Vicar of Ventnor and Bonchurch, leads the service and gives the Address. The organist is George Westcott, and the closing voluntary is the Chorale Prelude "In dulci jubilo", BWV 729a by J.S. Bach
