Made in Germany | Berlin -- a magnet for young entrepreneurs

The German capital is multi-cultural and open to the world, and it has a high quality of life. It's considered hip. Cheaper and yet trendier than Paris and less stressful than London. The German capital attracts many people who come here to make their fortunes. Since 2001, the number of new businesses has risen continuously to almost 41 thousand. In proportion to the number of working people, Berlin's rate of new businesses is twice as high as the German average. Grit Hofmann and Dan Hirschfeld met some of the business founders, including two whose men's business clothing company took off a year ago. And the Cruso company, which produces navigation devices for pedestrians - maps, compasses, and travel guides - has 20 employees and can almost regard itself as "established".
