Shocked viewers were convinced for a split-second the newlywed royals had made a surprise appearance for the live final. But it quickly became apparent that a pair were just some people in very realistic masks. Speaking to his guests, Dec Donnelly said: "Good evening your highnesses, we hope you’re loving the show." Viewers at home were still scratching their heads when Bishop Michael Curry gave a video message to the contestants. The enthusiastic minister, who woke everybody up at last month’s royal wedding , stressed the importance of love. He thanked the stars for sharing their talents and gifts to bring joy and happiness to the world. Dec then appeared back with the lookalikes in the audience, who were having a little natter to each other. Dec said: "Lovely to see you both, thank you for coming. "By the way did you get my wedding present?" There was an awkward silence before Dec leaned in to the camera and added: "You can never have enough tea towels." Shocked BGT viewers took to Twitter after spotting the royal lookalikes. One viewer said: "For a split-sec, I actually thought it was Harry and Meghan." Another added: "Omfg that Harry and Meghan thing is creepy asf." A third said: "F***ing hell, Prince Harry and Meghan were convincing.
