Uggu Recipe : Ingredients: 1 cup rice 1/4 cup toor dal (split pigeon peas) 1/4 cup moong dal (split mung beans) 1/4 cup roasted gram (chana / Chickpeas) 2 tablespoons groundnuts (peanuts) 2 tablespoons cashews Instructions: Soaking and Drying: Wash the rice, toor dal, and moong dal together in water. Soak them in enough water for 2-3 hours or overnight. Drain the soaked ingredients and spread them on a clean cloth to dry for about 30 minutes. Roasting: Heat a pan over medium heat and add the dried rice. Roast until it turns golden brown and gives off a pleasant aroma. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, roast the toor dal and moong dal separately until they turn golden brown as well. Remove and set aside. Roast the roasted gram, groundnuts, and cashews until they are lightly browned. Remove and set aside. Grinding: Allow all the roasted ingredients to cool down. In a mixer or food processor, grind the roasted rice, toor dal, moong dal, roasted gram, groundnuts, and cashews into a fine powder. Set aside. Cooling and Storage: Allow the mixture to cool down completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Store the Uggu mixture in a cool, dry place Feeding Instructions: Preparing Uggu for Feeding: Take a small portion of the Uggu mixture. Mix it with warm water, milk, or a combination of both to achieve a semi-solid consistency. Ensure there are no lumps and the mixture is well blended.
