However, according to macroeconomic experts Raoul Pal and his right hand man Julien Bittel, this period is completely normal. it’s also the time to buy. This week on twitter, Julien Bittle pointed out that the current price action we are seeing in crypto is fairly typical following the halving. We first see a big pump leading into the halving, then a brief but sharp correction, a period of sideways chop and then a final dump to nuke any remaining bullish sentiment. In a nutshell, it’s the Boring Zone that occurs right before the Banana zone - the period in which we see a parabolic move upwards in crypto prices. Julien then shared this graph which shows that our current cycle is actually very closely mirroring the 2016-2017 cycle. A period of choppy consolidation before going parabolic. Raoul Pal followed this up in an interview with Scott Welker, in which he broke down why crypto is still going to 50x & why the back half of 2024 is still going to be explosive.
