Window Cleaning: Before/After PSI with Booster Pump (NICE!)

The Wayne 1hp booster pump states it boosts pressure 40-50psi from the source. I found this to be pretty accurate, with gains around 40psi or so. This will allow you to use your RO pure water systems with low incoming pressure. There are MANY options for pumps, this one must have a power source-- some are battery powered. This is what I would consider an entry level introduction to boosting water flow. IT WORKS-- and at around 200 dollars....if it breaks, just buy another one. I have had it for about 8 months now, it still works as it did new. While I introduced a booster pump, I forgot to tell you one of the most important things to have-- and that is a PSI gauge! You can find them online or in your local parts store. I can't stress this enough, you need to know your pressure. You can hook up the gauge to any faucet and get a ballpark figure on the pressure from the tap. Having issues still? You can test each level of filtration with the psi gauge to see where the possible water pressure drop problems are. This is VERY handy when diagnosing issues with your system. If all else fails, you can use a pump like in my videos! Even a DI tank (which doesn't need as much pressure to work) will sometimes have problems if pulling from a home connected to a well. You can always disconnect some of your jets or your rinse bar to help with being usable in very very low pressure-- if there is a will, there is a way. Tank fed systems are great too, where they have water pumps in the tank to supply the poles-- But I don't have one of those personally so I can't comment on them. Anyway, hope this helps someone out. I keep this in the truck at all times, just like your TDS meter-- it's there when you need it, in case you run into issues. This will help you solve problems. You can't eyeball "guess" what your PSI is-- the gauge tells you. #windowcleaning #wfp #kdwindowcleaning
