In the homily for Christmas Day (Dec 25) Fr. Alan talks about the relationship between the signs of Our Savior's birth and His work of Redemption that continues in the Holy Mass. That work began with His Incarnation, was secured by His Crucifixion, Death, and Resurrection, and is continued by His Holy Church through the ministry of the Priesthood and the Sacraments. The Manger of Bethlehem is the sign both of the Cross and the Communion plate, on which He is laid at every Holy Mass, the Redemptive Sacrifice for us to consume, the Bread of Life. Ave Maria!
