Best 3 Announcements From Nintendo's September 2025 Nintendo Direct
The September 2025 Nintendo Direct had a ton of great announcements, from the 40th anniversary of Mario celebration to the addition of the Virtual Boy to the Nintendo Switch Classics. With all the different announcements they had, 3 announcements stood head and shoulders above the rest. Let's take a look at what I thought were the 3 best announcements from Nintendo's September 2025 Nintendo Direct. 1. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 on Switch & Switch 2! Mario Galaxy is back! We've already enjoyed the first game on Switch with Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and it was a fantastic port. Now, we're getting Galaxy 2 as well. I'm hoping Nintendo offers an upgrade path for those of us who already own the first game. This double-dose of classic Mario goodness is a must-have for any fan, but man, once again, Nintendo is really charging a premium for what is a re-release and re-master. 2. Metroid Prime 4 Finally Has a Release Date! After years of waiting, we finally have more information on Metroid Prime 4! It's coming in early December 2025 for both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The new footage shows Samus with a new motorcycle, which has me wondering if they're trying to turn her into a more "Master Chief" type of character. I'll have to see if the game feels right, but I'm definitely considering picking it up. 3. A New Yoshi Game with a Unique Art Style! I was completely blindsided by a new Yoshi game! I absolutely loved Yoshi's Woolly World and Yoshi's Crafted World for their incredible art direction. This new game takes a different path, going back to a more traditional animation style, but with a unique twist—it looks like a colored pencil drawing. It feels like a spiritual successor to Yoshi's Story on the N64, and I'm so excited to play this super fun and cute adventure. What was your favorite announcement from the Direct?
