RMNP's Mummy Mtn. and Hagues Peak - RAW 360-DEGREE TRAIL VIDEO

View this 360 video on your phone without any VR gear! Spin, zoom, pause, look around! This is an unedited, raw trail video filmed with a 360-degree camera. Use it as a walkthrough before you tackle this dayhike yourself. Get an idea of the pace of the single track, hear the natural background noises, and forward through the video to challenging or confusing points along the trail to get a good 360-degree understanding of the surrounding terrain. This raw footage video is truly for hikers and mountaineers planning their own adventure. For other folks wishing to see a quick run-through of the entire trail, I'm also posting speedy versions set to music within a day of posting raw footage. The true start of this loop trail forks off the Lawn Lake Trail that begins at the Lawn Lake TH (near East Alluvial Fan TH, if you can't find parking there!) in Rocky Mountain National Park, near Estes Park, CO. From the Lawn Lake Parking Area, the entire trail up Mummy Mountain, over to Hagues Peak, then down to Crystal Lakes is about 19.2 miles roundtrip and gains 6,350 feet in elevation. From Mummy and Hagues, views from Estes Park to Longs Peak, from Chapin to Chiquita on to Rowe Peak, to much farther horizons beyond are absolutely breathtaking!! This trail, trailhead, and pass can be found on apps like alltrails and are popular with backpackers and mountain bikers in the surrounding area. Scout out the area for yourself, follow along, look where you want to see, and enjoy the view! On a phone or tablet, this gopro-style, panoramic 4k video is best viewed in landscape mode. Move your device around like a VR headset or use your fingers to swipe & zoom for different angles and views. On a laptop, this is best viewed in full-screen mode to experience the full effect of the action camera. Hold your right-mouse button to pan, roll your middle-wheel to zoom, and hold your middle-button to scroll up. View what interests you most!
