December 24, 2024 Silent Night

Merry Christmas! December 24, 2024 – We made it … It’s here … Another Christmas Eve. I can almost hear the sighs of relief. Why is that? Why is it that we experience the busyness of Christmas or the chaos of Christmas, rather than the “Silent Night” of Christmas. Tonight, in our “Journey to the Nativity,” on this Eve of Christmas, we sing the familiar carol and hear again the familiar scripture passages of Matthew 1 and Luke 2 that tell the Jesus’ birth, but we don’t end there. We also take time to consider how “God is our refuge and strength, an ever–present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1; NIV).
