A Tree for Monument Square

A Tree for Monument Square

How lovely are thy branches! Thank you to the City of Portland, Keeley Crane Service, Shaw Brothers Construction, Portland Parks & Recreation, and Portland Police and Parking Control for delivering this beautiful 40' Balsam Fir to Monument Square on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The tree was donated by Hilary Carr Shorey and James Shorey of Portland. It was planted 35 years ago by the late Edith Arey, who passed away in June this year. According to Edith's daughter, Nancy Arey Cohen, Edith always dreamt of having her tree in Monument Square. We are so happy that her wish came true! Time-lapse video by Tall Story Pictures.
