Measuring 40cm in height, this beautiful wall clock features an elegant white round dial with neat black roman numerals and black hands that instantly draws the eye. Rounding out the body of this fascinating clock is a solid American cherry stained timber station clock case that is octagonal in shape, with a decorative glass door. This striking clock has two winding holes evident in the dial, each linked to a different spring- one that drives the timekeeping, and the other for the German Gong that strikes on the hour, corresponding to the time- so for example a 2pm the clock will strike 2 times. The strike is playing on a coil gong, and features an "old world" sound that invokes a sense of nostalgia. This exquisite clock also features a high quality 8 day running mechanism, meaning the clock only needs to be wound once every 8 days. This is done by simply inserting a key into the holes in the dial and winding the springs until they are tight again. This clock also features a manual night time shut off function which is enabled by lifting and pulling a lever.
