10/12/2025 morning worship service Pastor Anthony Fields " "After Baptism — Deepen Your Relationship with God and others" Pray reqularly: Develop a habit of talking with God, asking for guidance, and giving thanks. Study God's Word: Read the Bible to grow in your understanding of God's plan and to be nourished spiritually Meditate on scriptures: Take time to think about what you're learning from the Bible to deepen your love for God and His Word ● Connect and Stay Connected with a Community of Believers Join a church community: Attend Christian meetings and get involved with other believers to learn and qrow together. Find trusted friends: Seek out and build relationships with people who share your faith to offer mutual support and quidance. Share your faith: Openly share what you believe with others, which helps to deepen your own faith. ● Serve Others and Live Your Faith Serve in the church and community: Look for ways to get involved and help others, which is a vital part of living out your faith. Live an upright life: Work to live according to God's commandments and correct any sins in your life as you learn them. Be a disciple: Understand that baptism is the start of your journey to become a disciple of Jesus, which involves continuous spiritual growth and obedience. ● Embrace the New Life Reflect on the meaning of baptism: Take time to think about this significant spiritual event and its impact on your life. Celebrate with loved ones: Mark this important milestone with familv and friends. Be patient with yourself: Recognize that growing spiritually is a journey with ups and downs, and it's important to keep going even when you feel unmotivated. Avoid: Continuing to live a life of sin: Baptism is a commitment to turn away from a former life. While you are not expected to be perfect you should not continue to live in a way that contradicts your new faith. Isolating yourself: Do not cut off all your "old friends,"' as Jesus associated with many different people. Instead, be a light to them and show them the change in your life. Neglecting spiritual growth: Do not become spiritualy idle after baptism. This is the beginning of a new life, so you should be active in your faith. Worrying about being "perfect": Do not become discouraged if you make mistakes or sin after being baptized. All Christians make mistakes, and you should ask for forgiveness and move on. Forgetting your commitment: Do not forget that you are now called to be obedient to God and to live a life of integrity. This includes making a conscious choice to not give in to wrong desires. ______________________ Rise up, O Lord, come and see : save us from the enemy. Made Alive in Christ Ephesians 2. Romans 5:1-17 To be "alive in Christ" means a believer experiences a spiritual rebirth and transformation from spiritual death to spiritual life through God's grace, resulting in forgiveness of sins, new purpose and a life lived for God rather than self, all made possible by Christ's death and resurrection. It signifies an intimate, organic union with Christ, where His Spirit empowers believers to live a purposeful life marked by good works, steadfast hope, and profound joy Living in Christ, according to the Bible, involves an intimate relationship with Jesus, leading to a transformed identity as a "new creation" and freedom from sin's power through the Holy Spirit. It means living by faith, having Christ's mind, and finding purpose in fruitful labor that magnifies Him and brings glory to God. This spiritual union provides spiritual liberty, a deep sense of peace, and a new way of living characterized by love and divine purpose. Here Is how to live fully alive in Christ: Obey God above everything and everyone, including yourself. Confess your brokenness before God. Accept how utterly dependent you are on God for salvation. Study God's Word intentionally and faithfully. Serve others without expecting anything in return. Remain faithful in fellowship and an active part of His body, the church. _______________ "How to be Thank-FULL even when you're heartbroken" Psalm 34 Hearts break at end of a romance. a broken friendship, or the death of a loved one.
