African Union chair insists dialogue is the only solution for Sudan conflict

African Union Commission chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat Mahamat has dismissed suggestions of a military solution to end the conflict in Sudan. Mahamat said the international community is worried about the country’s deteriorating situation and renewed a call for the warring parties to adhere to a ceasefire to allow the passage of humanitarian aid to civilians.
