Jeremy Lin, Santa Cruz Warriors Guard: "Basically just there's just a lot of Asian-American violence, there's hate crimes, people getting stabbed with butcher knives and other stuff and so there's a lot of that going on, which I was just trying to bring some awareness to. I think it's gone up at times like 1,900 percent in certain areas and then there's one in four Asian-Americans have experienced some type of hate since the pandemic started - one in four, that's a lot so that's just something that's near and dear to my heart so it's something that, again, is not just about one group, it's how can we address this holistically as well and so, but that is one portion of it that I was bringing to light."
