Hereβs how you can make them at home! ππ₯ What do your kids think? π§πΆοΈ Ingredients π 4 sausages (your choice of size) π§ 8 slices mozzarella cheese π 1 1/2 cups (200g) bread flour π¬ 2 tbsp (30g) sugar π§ 1 tsp (4g) salt πΎ 1 envelope instant dry yeast (about 7g) π₯ 1 large egg π§ 1/2 cup (100ml) warm water π₯ 1 medium potato, diced ( 1 tsp potato starch. See method) π 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs for coating (panko for extra crunch) π Ketchup (for drizzling) π― Mustard (for drizzling) π’ 4 wooden skewers Method Prepare the Dough: 1. Mix 1 1/2 cups flour, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, and 1 envelope yeast. Add 1 large egg and 1/2 cup warm water, then knead until smooth and elastic. Let it rise for 1 hour. π§βπ³β¨ 2. Prepare the Sausages & Cheese: Skewer the 4 sausages and wrap each sausage in 2 slices of mozzarella (Note: for the cheese to wrap around and stay in place, microwave for 20 seconds first) π§π 3. Make the Potato Coating: Dice 1 medium potato, squeeze out excess moisture, and toss with 1 tsp cornstarch. This will make them crispy! π₯β¨ 4. Shape & Coat: Roll dough around each sausage, then coat in the diced potato mix (Note: when you shape the dough onto the stick make sure you have damp hands. Also, the dough should be a bit damp before coating in potato dice) Roll in 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs for extra crunch! ππ₯ 5. Fry the Corndogs: Heat oil to 170-180Β°C (340-360Β°F) and fry the corndogs for 5-6 minutes (turning once) until golden brown and crispy. ππ₯ 6.
